We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Cambridgeshire Plein Air Artist of the Year Award 2025, an exciting new event set to take place on 14th June, 2025, at Histon Manor, Cambridge.

We are looking forward to hosting over 50 professional and amateur artists who will spend the day painting and competing in this prestigious new competition. The goal is for the event to become one of Cambridgeshire’s key cultural highlights for years to come, with a focus on fundraising, fun, and festivities. The day will culminate in the first of our Summer Sounds at Histon Manor mini-concert series.

We’ve been delighted to host two village Dahlia shows in recent years, raising over £7,000 to date from these lovely community events and welcoming thousands of visitors and as a result seeing many more dahlias in front gardens throughout the villages!

Organising such a large event is no small feat, and we hope to hold another Dahlia show in September 2025.

At the moment, we are working to secure a marquee supplier to ensure the event can go ahead smoothly, no matter what the weather brings. We hope to make a decision on whether the event will go ahead by the spring of 2025.

Each February wonderful naturalised snowdrops emerge through the foliage, dotted along the banks of the moat and throughout the woodlands.

The 2026 date will be confirmed in late December/early January 2025. In just four years this snowdrop event has already raised over £6000.00 for some wonderful causes.
